Recovery systems for overspray |
In spray-coating, the material loss amounts to approx. 30 - 60% of the paint quantity in use, which causes considerable expenses and environmental pollution. As opposed to other recovery systems, the recovery of overspray stands out due to its very high degree of efficiency. Right at the area of application in the production process, unmixed overspray is collected and then returned to the cycle.

Overspray recovery system for low quantities of paint
|
| coolac® - EP-Patent of the company Range + Heine GmbH - |
|
| The coolac® -method is a cost-effective and paint-saving technique for non-combustible water-based coating materials: overspray, which cannot be avoided in spray-coating, is recovered as unmixed paint. The use of a coolac system make it possible to decrease material expenses by 30-40% and to reduce operating expenses by up to 70%. |
The process:The overspray of water-based paints condenses on the coolac®
system wall installed behind the workpiece. The temperature of
the coolac® system wall is cooled down below the dew point. As a result,
the condensation film generated on the surface prevents the paint
from drying. After reaching a specified layer thickness, the overspray of water-based paints collected on the coolac® system wall runs down into the paint collection containers. During continuous operation, overspray is collected as described above. For any change of paint, the coolac® system wall is simply stripped off.
The paint supplier is to certify that the recovered water-based paint is suited for being recycled. Special attention is to be paid to clean working conditions when operating the system. The ambient air must be humidified to reach a relative humidity of approx. 50-60%. |

coolac®-dipping system A dipping station for workpieces which, in a row, are to be dipped into and taken out of a basin filled with non-combustible water-based paint. Conveying and lowering/lifting technique to be provided by the customer.
On the basis of the tried and tested coolac®-process, this system enables you to efficiently recover unmixed paint and to recycle excessive paint material. Any drying of the paint within the system is prevented. |
